"A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials."
Over the past two years, we have laid the groundwork for the creation of a place where teachers and students could discover new ways of learning. At Briarcliff, have already ventured into Hex Bug Traps, Canes Arcade for grades 3-5, explored insects, programmed the Dash robot, maneuvered tangrams with the Osmo and learned about Watts Towers.
There are some basic supplies that we could use to stock our Makerspace and most items are from the Dollar Store or your child may have outgrown their old Legos, Kinnex, etc.
