Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) meet weekly at Briarcliff Elementary School. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure that we are providing the maximum support to all students to ensure their growth. During these meetings, grade levels and support staff meet with their teammates to discuss specific student progress, to develop common assessments, to explore Best Practices in Education, and to plan curriculum to meet student needs both for enrichment and support. Teachers use data from their own assessments, Benchmark Assessments, End-of-Grade (EOG) tests, Education Value Added Assessment System (EVAAS), and professional observations to determine the areas of need for each student. These meetings are a vital part of the success that Briarcliff students enjoy and we will continue to enrich our students’ educational experience through the use of these PLTs.
