Graduation rates show how many students finish high school in four or five years. These rates reflect the dedication of our students, families, and educators.

What the graduation rates mean

The four-year rate tracks a group of students from the start of 9th grade through graduation four years later. The five-year rate allows an extra year for students to complete high school.

About the data

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) collects and updates this data every year. You can view graduation rates by school, student group, or the entire district.

Reports are named by the year students began 9th grade. For example: 2015–16 9th Graders Graduating in 2018–19 or Earlier.
