The goal of School-to-Career is to prepare every student to make knowledgeable career choices through academic rigor and work-based learning experiences. This requires a systematic, comprehensive, community-wide effort.
What Is A Business Alliance?
A business alliance is a group of businesses that collaborate with the school and other businesses to help improve the quality of public education by helping students make connections between what they are learning in school and the real world of the workplace. Alliance members are needed for their experience and expertise; we view these partnerships as “A Handshake NOT A Handout”.
About Our Alliance
The Durant Road Middle School business alliance has created a partnership between local businesses, students, teachers, parents, and administrators. This partnership supports our School Improvement Plan, the Wake County Public School System mission, Character Education, the School-to-Career Program, and strives to make Durant Middle “School As It Should Be” through various career events throughout the year.
