Degrees and Certifications:
Hello. My name is Markisha Cobb, and I am the Ready-To-Learn facilitator here at Vandora Springs Elementary. I work with diverse families in the surrounding Garner community, with children 18 months through 5 years old who have not started kindergarten. My weekly classes are free for Wake County residents and provide families with valuable resources, such as parent education topics on child development and classroom activities for children that are developmentally appropriate for the age groups that attend. I have one daughter, and I enjoy leisurely reading and spending quality time with my family. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from North Carolina Central University, as well as a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University. Previous to coming to Vandora Springs, I taught in Guilford County Schools for 18 years, and have served as the Ready-To-Learn facilitator at V.S.E.S. since January 2015. I take great joy and pride in serving families and building life-long learners. My mission, which I love, is partnering with parents and building brains one family at a time!
