Hi Yates Mill Families! My name is Megan Mott and I am so happy to be here and to be working with your amazing kids! I am a native Jersey Girl, lover of pizza, bagels, and the Jersey Shore. I went to Rutgers University (NJ) and Moravian University (PA) and earned degrees in both Elementary Education and Psychology. After college, I spent 16 years teaching in New Jersey in the school district where I was born and raised. When my husband, who is also a teacher, and I got tired of the cold, we decided to pack up and move to North Carolina with our daughter. Upon moving to North Carolina, I continued my teaching career in Apex. Over my 20-year career I have worked with students in grades 3-6 and have loved working with each age group. 

In addition to spending time with my husband and daughter, I also have 2 dogs named Ruby and Piper. They are the sweetest and most amazing dogs ever! In my free time, I love going to concerts, watching musicals live on stage, traveling to new places (as well as visiting my favorite place…Disney World), and hunting for the perfect slice of pizza in North Carolina.
