I am originally from Rochester, NY and have lived in NC for 26 years.  I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and have taught for 28 years.   My first teaching position was in the Dominican Republic and I also have a year of experience teaching special education.  Most of my teaching experience is in 4th and 5th grades.  I am most  proud of my family, which includes my husband, Stephen, 2 adult children (Erin and Patrick) and our precious grandson Jack!  My family loves life in our log cabin and little farm with two dogs and a horse.  I love the outdoors, the beach, gardening, an evening campfire, exercising on the rowing machine or taking walks, and mostly spending time with friends and family.  I am so grateful to work at WFE teaching Math and Science with such an outstanding 5th grade team, and supportive staff and administrators.   I continue to be passionate about helping children reach their greatest potential.
