I have over 10 years of teaching experience in Wake County.  I started as a substitute teacher, then became an Instructional Assistant. Once I realized I had a passion for teaching, I went back to school to receive my B.S in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. I have taught in every grade level, including special education classes. ​

I grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois but moved to North Carolina when I was in high school. My love for my hometown is still evident in my passion for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs!!​

I am newly engaged to my fiance, Robbie. I have two daughters, Emilie who is 20, and Lyndsey who is 18. Emilie is a junior at UNC-Wilmington. Lyndsey is a freshman at UNC-Charlotte.  In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, walking my dog, Oreo,  and music.  Teaching is my passion, & I am eager to begin the 2022-23 school year!  ​
