Hello everyone! I am Kristen Coates and I am so excited to join the Yates Mill Elementary School Family!  I have a BA in Psychology and over 20 years of experience in the preschool setting. In that 20+ years I have worked with children of all ages- from 6 weeks all the way up to Pre-K. This is my first year in an elementary school and I am so excited about working with the Kindergarten team! 

I am from Durham, NC but now live in Johnston County (and love it!)  My husband Chris and I have three children, Avery (10), Reece (14), and Eli (16) and we love movie nights, trips to the beach, and going for walks in the park with our 7 year old dog, Baxter.
