My name is Matthew Watson and I am excited to be back at Bryan Road teaching 5^th grade.  I am honored to come back to such a wonderful school and staff and continue to "Go for the Gold!" 

I grew up in West Virginia and attended college at West Liberty University and received my masters at UNC. I have lived and taught in the Garner area for 17 years and have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5^th grade. I love building a rapport with each student and making their last year in elementary school a year to remember. My goal is for every student to feel safe, have a voice and develop their problem-solving skills all while having a positive learning experience. 

During my free time, I love spending time with my wife Victoria, our new son Cash, and Betsie, our dog. I also enjoy playing golf, watching sports (all sports), and listening to music. 

I am looking forward to an amazing year and meeting all the Buccaneer Families!
