ABOUT ME/MY FAMILY (hobbies, kids, pets, goals,etc)

I grew up in Portsmouth, VA. After graduating college, I lived in KY for 27 years. I stayed home to raise my daughters, and then worked as an instructional assistant for 14 years. I went back to school to get my teaching certificate and have been teaching since 2010. 

I love to read, to crochet, to hike, to travel, to take photos,  and to spend time doing anything my grandkids want to do (play dinosaurs, ride bikes, read books, build sand castles and legos, etc). 

I have two daughters, Dana and Amy. Dana is an elementary school music teacher who’s married to an elementary school music teacher. They have two sons, Cooper and Ansel. They live in Louisville, KY. Amy is a national park ranger on the Outer Banks, and she’s married to a national park ranger there, too. I love spending time with them.

I’m married to Russ, and have a stepdaughter and stepson. She and her husband have a son, Alex. My stepson and his wife have a son, Liam, and a daughter, Isla. Thanksgiving is going to be loads of fun this year at our house.
