ABOUT ME/MY FAMILY 

 I have two adult daughters, Makenna and Olivia.  I have four dogs, two of which are rescues so my house is furry and sometimes quite loud.  Makenna has three wonderful children, who call me Mimi. If someone calls out for Mimi, I’m sure to turn around!  Nadia and Aaliyah are twins and just started 6th grade this year.  Trey just started 1st grade.  Makenna owns her own cleaning business --Soul Sisters Cleaning.  Olivia attends Johnston Community College and works part time at the Cleveland Animal Hospital. (We'd have 10 dogs if I’d let her.)

I’m in my 25th year of teaching and right now my immediate goal is to remain positive in the face of the challenges this year brings.  I’m extremely excited about the direction that Smith is taking academically and am so happy to be a part of it.  When I retire in 5, 6 or 7 years I would like to complete the Paralegal state testing requirements and work in a law firm as a second career.  After that, I’m looking forward to traveling in my camper and seeing as much of North America as possible.
