Medical Exemption Requests
When a student is unable to participate in a state assessment due to a significant medical emergency or health condition, the school may request a medical exception for the student. This may include a student with significant health concerns with taking their state exams in person at the school. The state requires schools to submit supporting documentation along with the request. The state decision on medical exceptions (approved or denied) will have no bearing on the student’s grade. Once a medical exception has been submitted, the grade will be determined by averaging the first- and second-quarter grades. Please contact your child’s school with any questions regarding exam administration and scoring.
Please email Ms. Ashdown at email@example.com if you wish to submit a medical exemption form for Fall Semester 2020 exams.
