Hello, parents. Here are a few important updates and reminders from Phillips HS:
- Beginning next week, students will not have live classes on Wednesdays for the remainder of the 1st quarter. These days will be designated for students to work on missing assignments or assignments to improve their grades. This will be the case for the remainder of the 1st quarter. We are getting closer to the end of the 1st quarter (which ends on 10/22) and we have many students who need to take advantage of that opportunity to improve their grades.
- I’m sure you are aware of the school board's decision last night for all HS students to remain in remote learning for the remainder of the Fall semester. This makes it even more important that all students and parents stay on top of student grades and assignments in PS to support students passing and doing well in all Fall semester classes. If a student fails a Fall semester class, they will have to re-take that credit in a later semester and this could impact their graduation timeline. Please don’t forget that students have access to their teachers each day in class and also each afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 for individual help on any assignments.
- Phillips now has an online school store (posted on our website) (School Store Link) where students and families can go to order spirit wear. The store will be open until October 25. There is some wonderful stuff there for students to order. Please know that all orders will be filled after the store closes on 10/25. Items will be delivered directly to the school. Once receive your ordered item, we will notify the student/family member that it is available for pickup on campus.
