Ms. Jessica Muradov

I'm a Pennsylvania native that recently moved to NC! I come from the suburbs of Philadelphia and I went to college in Pittsburgh for both undergraduate and graduate school. Go Pitt!

I am entering my third year of teaching, and though this school year may look a little different, I'm looking forward to what it will bring.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend. I love the outdoors - you can find me often exploring parks, running, and even snowboarding when the weather permits (I'm going to miss those northern winters!) In addition, I love cooking and baking new foods. I'm also looking forward to traveling and exploring new cities once it's safe to do so.

Why I chose to teach at MECME...

I chose MECME because it was immediately clear to me how much the teachers here love what they do. I could tell right away that this community is close-knit and supportive, and I was excited to join the MECME family.

What excites me about Environmental Connections...

I find it so important for students to take their learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. Connecting our topics to the community and to nature can help create well-rounded learners. Plus, engaging in activities that connect with nature are excellent for our students' (and teachers'!) mental and physical well-being.
