Degrees and Certifications:
After growing up in Illinois, Christina Minnish earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri. She worked as a writer and visual journalist for newspapers in Missouri, Colorado, and South Carolina before relocating to her husband’s home state of North Carolina to start a family. Christina has always had a passion for children and grew up as the child of an elementary school teacher. So, the transition into teaching made sense. Beginning as a lateral entry teacher, Christina taught middle school language arts and social studies for six years in Wayne County before moving to Holly Springs in 2009. After volunteering for a few years at her children’s school, she decided to add elementary education to her license. She has been a teacher at Lincoln Heights since August 2017, and she loves the students, staff, and environmental magnet theme. She and her husband Jeffery have four children: Jackson, Lauren, Colin, and Dylan. In addition to teaching, Christina finds joy in photography, writing, graphic design, art, travel and cooking, and eating great food. You can reach Christina at firstname.lastname@example.org.
