My name is Jill Backstrom. I moved to NC with my husband about 17 years ago (born in NJ, lived in PA and MN as well). I graduated from ECU with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology. I was blessed to be a stay at home mom for my 3 children (2 girls and a boy) but decided to get back into the working world again when my youngest started kindergarten. The 1st grade IA position opened at NFP (where my children all attended) at the perfect time! I am now starting my 3rd year and couldn’t be happier! I love to run with my dog, dance, hike, swim, eat chocolate and... the beach is my happy place! 

I cannot wait to meet your child and continue to grow a love for learning!
