Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Jeannie Smith. I'm originally from Pensacola, Florida. I am married with 3 children and have a cocker spaniel named Sprinkle Princess. I adore making memories with my family. When I was a child I wanted to be many things. I wanted to be a marine biologist, an oceanographer, an actress, and even a pediatric nurse. At one point in my life I wanted to swim with sharks. I am so thankful I chose to become a teacher instead. I love what I do. I earned my degree at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS. This will be my 19th year as an educator. I have taught Pre-K 4, Kindergarten, first, second and was a reading interventionist. I began my teaching experience in Mississippi and then continued it in Louisiana. I love all things southern and creole, especially the food. I have been teaching in NC for 12 years now. This will be my 10th year teaching second grade at NFP. This school is my HOME. I love it here, and I am positive you will too! Outside of school I enjoy obstacle course racing, crafting, dancing, cooking, traveling, watching movies, spending time with friends and being outdoors. I can't wait to get to know your child and embark on this amazing learning journey together. Welcome to North Forest Pines! We are so glad you are here.
