Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Liz LeBlanc
Ahoy! I am so excited about joining the Buchaneer Family this year! My name is Liz LeBlanc and working with children is my passion. I believe wholeheartedly that every child can be successful and my goal is to be the teacher each of my students need in order to be successful. My top priority this year is to help your child become the very best he/she can be academically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.
I grew up in Columbia, SC and received a Masters in Elementary Education, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Bryan Road, I was a Literacy Coach at the nationally recognized school, The Center For Inquiry, where I supported, coached, modeled, and collaborated with teachers about all things literacy and beyond! I have taught both second and third grade and am always searching for ways to learn and grow as an educator.
My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I believe in hands-on, inquiry-based experiences, learning creatively and collaboratively, and fostering a close-knit community of passionate learners. I love to work with parents and families to help my students be successful.
Most people know me as an avid animal lover, passionate musician, vinyl sticker designer/maker, and family fanatic. I just moved to Wake County this summer after living in Columbia, SC my entire life and will be marrying my fiance, Troy, later this year! I am the proud mom of a “flood rescued,” Black Lab, Katie, and 2 Tuxedo Cats, Layla and Tupper. I love spending my free time with my niece and nephews and the rest of my treasured family.
It is going to be an AMAZING and exciting year in third grade! I am looking forward to interacting with you and your child this school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
