I love puzzles, and teaching is like a gigantic and magnificent puzzle to me. There are so many moving parts that make up a single day, and somehow everything fits together. I love the challenge, and I recognize that each piece is special and one of a kind. The feeling of solving the puzzle or looking at the "big picture" is most rewarding. I especially appreciate that I can pull the pieces apart and begin again.
Joyner is a special place; it's my home away from home. What excites me most about JYJ is that I am in an environment of curious individuals. Children, parents, teachers and administrators love learning. This kind of curiosity motivates me to learn and discover too.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me walking, talking with friends, reading, traveling, and drinking lots and lots of coffee.
