Mrs. Stockert loves to teach and looks forward to providing all students with a warm safe setting, in which EVERYONE will be able to meet and excel expectations. She feels parent involvement is a must, student commitment is essential, teacher dedication is a love and other support systems need embraced. She is dedicated to fostering an environment of academic expectations, global experiences and character building challenges. She looks forward to her 45th year at Wiley and helping each student have a successful 5th grade year. Mrs. Stockert enjoys watching sports (esp. NCSU), recognizes her green thumb works well on plastic plants, prefers dining out vs cooking, enjoys the fun of exploring new areas and wishes to note that this photo is a “selfie”, her first!
The UN Sustainability Development Goal of 2030 which caps what Mrs. Stockert has always embraced is to ensure inclusive & equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. It’s through education that we are able to “develop human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.” To quote recent expressions, it does “take a village” to provide a “priceless” opportunity for all students.
