Teacher of the Year:
Please join us in recognizing our 2019-20 AFMS Teacher of the Year, Ms. Janice Withers, AFMS Art Teacher.
Our finalists this year were: Ms. Campbell (FACS teacher), Ms. Dupree (Special Education teacher), Ms. RatCliffe (6th grade Science teacher) and Ms. Scrugg (8th grade Social Studies teacher).
8th Grade Parents: There will be an optional informational interest meeting for our 8th Grade Field Trip to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00pm in the auditorium.
November 15th is our first incentive day of the year. Students who have had less than five signatures on their behavior card for the first quarter may participate in an activity for 60 minutes of their choosing at the end of the day. This is a school wide celebration that our PBIS committee organizes.
This week on Friday we will recognize 855 students who have earned Honor Roll for the first quarter. Students should have brought home their report cards this past Friday.

Kudos-Thank you to all the coaches and students for a great fall sports season at AFMS. The football team finished with a 6-2 record. The girls soccer team finished with a 7-1 record and our girls volleyball team finished undefeated with an 8-0 season. Go Chargers!
