    1. Private colleges are independent of the UNC system. Each individual private or independent college or university in N.C. makes its own decision regarding admission of undocumented students.

    1. Paying for college: Only documented students are eligible to receive federal financial aid through the FAFSA form. Private scholarships and other sources of money may be available to undocumented students. Read the residency requirements of the scholarship or financial resource for qualifications.
