Hi! My name is Jasmine Voss. I am from all over the world! My dad served in the U.S. Marines Corps my entire life and we moved very often. The location that I enjoyed the most was Okinawa, Japan! I moved to the RDU area 10 years ago to attend North Carolina Central University. At NCCU, I not only earned a degree in Child Development & Family Relations but I also received my teaching license and met my husband! He is the apple of my eye and our intelligent, adventurous and determined boys are our core.
Education is undeniably my passion. I began my enthusiastic teaching journey four years ago! I believe life is all about growth which is why I am continuing my educational journey at NC State! In my classroom, we emphasize a growth mindset where mistakes are expected, respected, inspected, and corrected.
When I am not in the classroom, you can find me at kid friendly events or cuddled up with my family enjoying movies or reading a good book! My favorite children's book is called, "A is for Activist" by Innosanto Nagara. It incorporates the alphabet and introduces the importance of equality and equity - two things that I am very passionate about. Additionally, I love to giving back to the community, exploring vegan dishes, meditating, working out, traveling, shopping, sitting on the beach for hours, and making memories with all of my family and friends!
I am ecstatic about taking flight at Pleasant Grove Elementary! Please follow our educational journey on twitter @MrsJVoss!
