Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. April Beddingfield
My name is April Beddingfield and I am so excited to be a part of our wonderful, new school at Bryan Road Elementary. I have 23 years of experience in education. For the past 5 years, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to be a kindergarten teacher in Cary. I’ve held various leadership roles in the school and most recently had the honor of serving on our Instructional Leadership Team. I was recognized in 2015 with the Employee Excellence Award presented by Wake County Public Schools. In addition to teaching kindergarten, I have also taught second and third grade and managed a private preschool while my daughters were young.
I recently received my special education certification and am excited to support students in kindergarten, first and second grade in their learning journey. I truly believe that all children deserve the opportunity to be in a school environment where they are loved, respected, and encouraged to be their best. I am so excited to get to know our new Buccaneer students and I look forward to spending time in many of our classrooms this upcoming school year!
I grew up in northern North Carolina around the Lake Gaston area. I attended the University of NC at Wilmington and received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I live in Apex with my husband and two daughters. Kailyn is 17 and is a rising senior at Apex Friendship High School. Kara is 14 and will be a freshman at Apex Friendship. Kailyn is beginning to look at her college options and she works part time at Chick-fil-A. Kara is a dancer and it keeps her very busy. We have a very sweet Maltese-Japanese Chin mix dog named Bella who loves going for car rides.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us at Bryan Road. I’m looking forward to a remarkable school year filled with learning, growing, laughter, and love.
