Ms. Gorman: I grew up in Cary and attended Wake County Public Schools for all of my K-12 education. I graduated from the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program at Elon University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. This will be my sixth year teaching. I spent two years teaching third grade at Sycamore Creek Elementary in Raleigh. I taught fourth grade at White Oak Elementary for the last three years. Previously, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Costa Rica where I spent five months working in an elementary school teaching English. I am a dual-citizen of Australia and the United States and I love to travel and visit new places. I hope to bring all of these experiences into my classroom this year. I also enjoy swimming, hiking, and baking new recipes.

As graduates of East Carolina University, my husband and I are strong Pirate supporters. We also root for the Francis Marion University Patriots where our daughter plays volleyball. Our boys are 16 and 13 and are involved in lacrosse. We love camping at the beach and traveling together when sports schedules allow. My students inspire me daily and I look forward to working with each of you.
