Degrees and Certifications:
I grew up in New Jersey, and I graduated in 2010 from Penn State with a degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education and a minor in Special Education. After graduating, I married my husband Anthony, and we moved to the Chicago area where I was a third grade teaching assistant at Mill Street Elementary. We relocated to Raleigh in June of 2011. During my first year in North Carolina, I taught second grade at Eastlawn Elementary in Burlington, but in 2012, I accepted a third grade teaching position at Root Elementary in Raleigh. I’ve been teaching third grade at Root for the past 7 years. I’m excited to return to second grade and join the Ballentine family. I can’t wait to see how we glow and grow together as a class family this year. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time outside with my husband, my daughter, Charlotte, and our two wacky dogs.
