• Kudos-Please join me in congratulating our very own Lindsey Evans.  She is the WCPSS Teacher of the Year for 2019-2020 school year. She will represent Wake County as the Teacher of the Year at the State level. This honor is well deserved, and your Charger family is very proud of her accomplishment. A big thank you to our awesome teachers and students who celebrated her on Friday, with a special shout out to Dr. Duvall and the band students. If you want to see how the school recognized her, please see the WCPSS Facebook page.  Additionally, there are many photos of her with our fantastic logo and we want to give a big Shout out to Mrs. Withers, our art teacher, who painted that beautiful mural.

Kudos-Thank you to our Student Council facilitator, Mr. Johnson and the students for organizing and planning our Sprit Week last week.

Kudos-to our 6th, 7th, an 8th grade band students. These fantastic musicians performed wonderfully at the band concerts last week.

Kudos-to our PTA for purchasing staff shirts and sponsoring a luncheon for our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week last week. Thank you so much, we appreciate it.

Kudos to our awesome art students, Jhalia Lassiter, Isaac Jenkins, Chyanna Bailey, Taylor Jacob, and Anna Praizner who has been selected to represent AFMS at Artsplosure 2019 Student Art Exhibition!  This Exhibition is part of Artsplosure 2019 annual Spring Arts festival that takes place in downtown Raleigh on May 18-19.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to have their artwork seen by thousands of festival participants and win cash prizes.
