Ms. Victoria Mitchell

Ms. Victoria Mitchell is originally from Virginia, however, feels most at home in Wake County, North Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Meredith College along with a K-12 License to teach theatre. Ms. Mitchell also studied abroad while in college to the UK to study Shakespearean Theatre. 

     Ms. Mitchell has recently directed Almost, Maine, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, and Peter/Wendy while at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School. Before arriving to the school, she directed Thanksgiving in the Wilderness, the VMs, Just So Stories, and Robin Goodfellow. She was also the Assistant Director for musicals Merrily We Roll Along and The Secret Garden. She has stage managed countless productions as well as designed lighting, sound, sets, and costumes.

     Before Ms. Mitchell became a teacher, she was a local actor. Some of her past roles include: Brighella (The Duchess Mislaid), Norma Jean (Decision Height), Princess Winnifred (Once Upon a Mattress), Lysistrata (Lysistrata), Vladimir (Waiting for Godot), Samantha (A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas), and Jo March (Little Women the Musical). 

     Ms. Mitchell is very excited to be a part of the Southeast Raleigh family this year, and cannot wait to see the wonderful things accomplished!
