Mrs. Currin

My name is Jessica Currin and I am excited to be back at Lincoln Heights Environmental Connections Magnet Elementary School as the Magnet Coordinator. As a Raleigh native and graduate of WCPSS, Meredith College, and North Carolina State University, I have built my career in WCPSS. I spent last school year interning at Sanderson High School before graduating with my Master in School Administration in May 2020. Prior to last year, I was the magnet coordinator at Lincoln Heights where I helped launch the Environmental Connections magnet program. Before joining the staff at Lincoln Heights, I taught 3rd grade and served as the Math Coach at Lynn Road Elementary and facilitated math intervention and enrichment at Wildwood Forest Elementary. My goal is to build positive and lasting relationships with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure all children become the best version of themselves. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring some of my knowledge, experiences, and skills to our team through my role.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Matt, is also a Raleigh native and like me believes strongly in public education. We got married in 2010 and have two little girls, Elizabeth and Emmaline. We love the mountains, the beach, traveling and WOLFPACK football (in non-COVID times)!
