    Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!

We read our first monologue from Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! We read about Barbary, the mud slinger, and the adversity that she struggled with. We conveyed the theme, the lesson that Barbary learned, through her trials. We were able use text evidence and pick it out to support this theme.

    PLOT through PIXAR (cont.)

Students continued to figure out plot through short films. They watched "For the Birds" (a clip about an awkard big bird not being welcome by a group of small birds and how the small birds in the end needed the big bird). They worked with their group mates to work through the plot diagra.

    Plot through Pixar

Students got to watch short Pixar films to help them through understanding plot through different genres (instead of just reading short stories). Students watched the short clip Day and Night (When Day wakes up and finds Night and they show off their amazing skills of what can happen in the day time and in the night time). Students worked with me to figure out the different portions of PLOT for this one and did wonderfully.
