Ahoy Buccaneers! My name is Barbara Gibson. I am super excited to be a part of the crew at Bryan Road Elementary!

I am a native of North Carolina and have lived in Garner since 1988. I’ve been a pirate since attending ECU and going for the GOLD as a Bryan Road Buccaneer is a real treasure!

I have been a Wake County Teacher Assistant for 27 years. I love watching children get excited as they develop and learn new skills every day. I can’t wait to see all our Buccaneers and cast off on a year of learning, making friends and growing.

When I am not at school, you’ll find me spending time with my family and at church. My husband, Bill, and I have two daughters. Our family of four has grown to a family of eleven now with five of them being grandchildren. My oldest grandsons live in Alaska. The youngest grandson and his sisters live in Bailey, NC. It is “grand” being their Grammie.

One of my favorite things about Bryan Road Elementary is being at a local school. I have had many opportunities to see students while I’m out and about shopping, visiting our beautiful parks, at church and enjoying treats at McDonald’s with my grandchildren.
