Ms. Coley Edsall

Ahoy Buccaneers! 

My name is Coley Edsall and I am thrilled to teach at Bryan Road Elementary! I received my K-6 teaching license from Meredith College, where I also double majored in History and Political Science, and minored in International Studies. I am entering my 9th year of teaching! 
 
I live in Raleigh with my husband, Dave, and our two daughters; Mary Harper and AJ. We have two dogs, Charley and Shorty. I enjoy spending my time watering my plants, baking with my daughters, quality family time, browsing TJ Maxx and Target, listening to records, crocheting, reading, yoga, and watching Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Schitt's Creek. 
 
It is important to me that all of my students feel safe, loved, and heard in our class. I believe in providing a nurturing learning environment to foster positive growth for the whole child. I incorporate mindfulness and yoga strategies into my teaching to provide students with ways to enhance their learning and development. I work very closely with the 1st grade team to ensure all of our students learn with engaging and creative activities! We know how to have fun. Just ask the front office! 😉
 
A few interesting facts about me: 
  • I currently have 31 indoor plants and am always trying to obtain more.
  • I love organizing! 
  • I've dyed my hair purple and blue. 
  • I am a certified yoga instructor.
