I'm Coley Edsall and I am thrilled to teach at Bryan Road Elementary! I grew up in Kinston, NC and have called Clayton, NC home since 2016. I graduated from Meredith College in 2013 as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. My teaching career started at Oak Grove Elementary in 2013. I have taught at many different grade levels but I'm so excited to be teaching first graders!
My husband, Dave, and I have two daughters; Mary Harper, 3, and AJ (Allison James), 1 year. We have a crazy, 2 year old black lab named Charley. I enjoy spending my time gardening, cooking, playing with my girls, going on walks with the family, NFL fantasy football, running, yoga, and Star Wars.
I cannot wait to get started with the upcoming school year! I am looking forward to building relationships with the staff, families, and most importantly, the students! I believe in establishing a safe and positive learning environment for all students. I believe every child is capable of learning. It is my belief that by starting and ending each day with a smile and a positive thought will improve how you respond to challenges that come your way. Establishing high expectations for the students and guiding them towards developing a growth mindset will ensure we will have a successful academic year, while also developing life-long learners who can persevere through challenges.
I'm excited to meet everyone and begin this incredible journey with you!
