Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Candy Blackmon

Hey Buccaneers! Originally from Montana, I moved to Southern California after graduating from high school. While in Southern California, I received my master’s degree in elementary education and taught fourth and fifth grade for five years. In 1993 I married my husband William, and in 2003 I had my daughter Madilyn. My family and I moved to North Carolina in 2004 and I have enjoyed teaching third and fifth grade ever since! A common theme in my class is BELIEVE. I share with my students that over the years, the word BELIEVE has become my cornerstone in teaching. I love to see the power of believing come to fruition as the school year progresses. Reflecting back on all the accomplishments that came from believing is my favorite part of teaching! I am excited to see how believing helps my class of Buccaneers in their quest for GOLD!

My hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, hanging out with my two dogs (Baily & Pugsley), promoting my daughter's cheerleading, and traveling to Clemson University to cheer on my nephew, Rhett. Go Tigers!
