Hello! My name is Sara Batten. I grew up in a small, coastal town in North Carolina and attended Meredith College where I received a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and a K-6 licensure. I have been teaching kindergarten in WCPSS since 2010 and I absolutely LOVE it! I enjoy making learning fun and engaging for students and seeing the growth they make throughout the year. I have had the privilege of being a Buccaneer since Bryan Road opened and can’t wait to have you join our Buccaneer family! When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family. My husband and I have two children, Henry and Stella, and a sweet dog named Foxy. I also love coffee, traveling, and reading a good book.
