HOW THE FILM SERIES WORKS:
Each month, the faculty screens a film that we feel 1) has cinematic merit and 2) affords the opportunity to bridge disciplines in engaging ways. Students who are able to participate can choose one of several available screening times to watch the film. During the week, there is an optional discussion forum in which students may participate to deepen their knowledge of and engagement with the film. This discussion forum is moderated, but is neither prompted nor graded. Following the film screenings, the faculty will offer a dynamic, multidisciplinary learning experience in which the students who viewed the film must participate.
The FLEX Film Series is an optional learning experience open to students who meet seat time expectations and have a 2.0 average for the weeks preceding the screening. The FLEX Film Series is a way to connect disciplines and build community.
