Cheryl is a Special Education Teacher in the ID Mild 2 class. She began working at Lynn Road in August 1996. Before joining the Lynn Road team, she worked as an Executive Director for a private, not for profit, special education school in Memphis. She also has experience working with adults in a group home setting.

Cheryl attended the University of Southern Mississippi and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Special Education. She knew when she was 12 years old that she wanted to work with individuals with special needs and different abilities. After reading a book called “Children with Emerald Eyes”, she told her mom that she wanted to be a special education teacher and never wavered in her decision.

In her free time, she loves reading, spending time at the pool, hanging out with friends and going shopping. Cheryl has one rescue dogs, Cookiie, that she loves spending time with on the deck or lounging on the couch.
