Victoria Privott is the youngest of seven children and was born in Connecticut; however, she grew up in Fayetteville, NC, and spent all of her childhood summers in Connecticut and Maine. She raised three children in Charlotte, NC and moved to Washington, DC in 2009 before finally making her home in the Raleigh area. She has three adult children: her daughter is a university admissions counselor, her oldest son is a middle school social studies teacher and her youngest son is sailor in the US Navy.
Ms. Privott always knew she wanted to work with children and teenagers and spent eleven years as a high school English teacher in Charlotte, NC before becoming a principal in Washington, DC. As a child Ms. Privott loved to read and her favorite books were biographies and all things Judy Blume. Victoria loves to travel and has visited Africa, Europe and Asia; she recently returned this year from a two year contract with the public school system in the United Arab Emirates. In her spare time she likes to garden, complete home improvement projects and spend time with family. Ms. Privott is happy to have found her home at Lynn Road ES with its welcoming staff, students and community and is looking forward to serving students and teachers as they continue to make progress towards becoming a high achieving school.
