Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Tingle was born and raised in Seaford, Delaware. As a child she dreamed of becoming a dancer and spent much of her free time in dance class studying tap, jazz, lyrical, and ballet. Briefly she thought of growing up to be a teacher but quickly dismissed that idea after watching her mother complete long hours of work doing that same job every night. As a child, her favorite book was All Tutus Should Be Pink.
After graduating from high school, she moved to Philadelphia, PA to attend Temple University. There she gained great friends, an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and an immense love for the "city of brotherly love". During her time at Temple, Ms. Tingle worked for a non-profit organization called Jumpstart, which runs supplemental literacy programs in local public pre-schools. Jumpstart helped uncover Ms. Tingle’s love for teaching as she found her way to the classroom through Teach For America. After teaching kindergarten for 3 years in South Carolina, Ms. Tingle moved to Raleigh in 2016 and began her journey at Lynn Road.
