Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Caitlin Guerra

Mrs. Guerra was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She just recently relocated to Raleigh, and is very excited to be here! Mrs. Guerra attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her time at Drexel, Mrs. Guerra received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Master's degree in Special Education. She is dual certified to teach regular and special education, and is excited to begin her third year teaching at Millbrook!

In her free time, Mrs. Guerra enjoys pursuing dance. She is particularly fond of lyrical style movement. By exploring dance throughout her life, Mrs. Guerra has developed a passion for the arts and finding ways to incorporate them into the classroom. She loves to find a bridge between the arts and academics to make learning expand across all developmental domains.

Why I like our theme, Environmental and Community Connections...

I love being able to work outside! There is something special that happens when children are able to touch and experience the world around them, rather than watching it through a window.

If I was a student at MECME this year, I would be looking forward to...
Getting outside and exploring our world during Expeditions!
