I grew up in Queens, NY and Port Washington, Long Island NY. I went to SUNY Oswego and studied Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. I moved to Florida.  I substitute taught all grades and worked at a private school in Kindergarten. I took a slight detour and worked in the financial and marketing world.  My passion has always been education, so I went back to substituting from K-5.  I have 2 amazing children who are my pride and joy.  Ashley, 20 who is a Junior at Appalachian State University and Chase, 16 is a Junior at Wakefield High School.  I also have a Golden Retriever named Brody. My children’s father moved us to Raleigh for business.  I volunteered in my children’s school and substituted in all grades.  I became an Instructional Assistant and worked in 3rd, Kindergarten, 1st, and now in Special Programs EBS 2.  I am very proud to be a part of the Wendell family.  I love assisting and inspiring our children to grow and learn!!
