Degrees and Certifications:

Kristine Demko

I am very excited to join the staff here at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle as the Math Intervention teacher.

I was born in raised in Peabody, Massachusetts, and grew up with a love of all things New England. I have my undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and my graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  I relocated to Apex, NC in 2004, before finally settling in Cary in 2007. I have been married for 24 years, and my husband and I have 3 great kids. Our oldest daughter is a senior at Appalachian State University, our son is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps., and our youngest daughter is a senior at Panther Creek High School. We also have 2 lovable rescue dogs - Bailey and Porter.

I have taught elementary school for 17 years, taking time off when my kids were born, and again these past few years as they all navigated the high school years.  I have been very fortunate to be able to be present for my children during these critical years, and now I look forward to the opportunity to help your student with the academic challenges of middle school math.   It is my goal to not only help each student in the areas in which they may be struggling but also to help them discover their strengths and build upon those as well. I look forward to a great year at CCMMS!
