Orchestra Teacher

Active as an educator and performer for several years, Alison Konopka is passionate and dedicated to teaching and sharing music, especially to the development of youth, culture and community. She has been involved with various El-Sistema inspired music education programs, including the Atlanta Music Project, and currently serves on faculty as Violin Teaching Artist for the Kidznotes music program in Raleigh, NC. In addition, she teaches strings at the Zebulon Gifted and Talented Magnet Elementary School.

As a performer, Ms. Konopka has concertized throughout the United States, appearing at prestigious music festivals, such as the National Orchestral Institute festival (College Park, MD) and Eastern Music Festival (Greensboro, NC), in addition to performing in Colorado, Wyoming, throughout the southeast region, and in the Washington, D.C. metro area. A Colorado native, Ms. Konopka earned degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Alabama, and received her Teaching License Certification from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore
