LES Logic Teacher
Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Kimberly Guza, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Leesville Elementary team this year teaching L.O.G.I.C. (Learning Life Skills in Organized Games using Innovative and Critical Thinking). In this class, students will be not only learn how to play and strategize a variety of games from cards to simple strategy games from around the world to strategic board games, but they will also work on communication and team work with team building activities and challenges.
I am originally from Iowa but attending high school and college in Indiana. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Hanover College. After graduation, I moved to Raleigh to start my teaching career and have loved every minute of living and teaching in this state. I have had the honor of teaching in Wake County for eight years before taking time to have and raise our two sons. I taught fifth grade for three years and then sixth grade language arts and social studies for five years as well as coached high school volleyball and middle school track.
I enjoy baking, being active, and spending time together with my family. We are big sports fans at our house. We enjoy cheering on North Carolina's great sports teams both professional and college, but we also root on my husband's teams from Pennsylvania such as the Steelers, Penguins, and Penn State.
