•  A Note from our Principal

    Welcome to Carver Elementary!

At Carver Elementary, we have wonderful students who keep our days filled with smiles, learning, and discovery. I have been at Carver for eight years, and the time seems to fly by. This a great school to serve as Principal. Throughout the day, you can see students helping each other, learning new skills and strategies, working collaboratively to investigate ideas, and enjoying the process of learning and being with each other.

Our staff members are focused on providing students with engaging learning experiences and spend time each week in Professional Learning Teams to plan lessons and units focused on the needs of each child. Throughout the years, we have invited those who are passionate about teaching to join our staff. We are fortunate to have staff members who absolutely love what they do every day and are very knowledgeable about their craft.

Carver’s four C’s encompass teaching in a creative, collaborative environment while maximizing communication and critical thinking. We have 480 students that are adaptable, flexible, problem solvers. Our school colors are red and yellow and our school mascot is the Carver Cub.

Our Carver Elementary PTA is greatly valued and we appreciate the time, talent, and resources they provide for our school. Carver’s active and supportive PTA organizes cultural art events for our students throughout the school year and fundraising efforts coordinated by parents support our students all year long. Without our PTA, Smartboards would still be needed in our school. If you have not already, please find a way to become active in this group of school supporters. We would love for you to volunteer with our students. It will be time well spent!

As a PBIS school, we take an active approach to teach and reinforce positive behavior. Students have the opportunity to earn PAWS that can be redeemed at the school store on Friday. Students are celebrated each quarter with a program in the gym, and we recognize Academics, Conduct, and celebrate any accomplishment noted by their teacher with a Carver Pride Pin. We have an active Safety Patrol team as well as a Student Council that serves our school.

Our school code is as follows: P.R.I.D.E.

    • Practice safety
    • Be Responsible at all times
    • Use intelligent choices
    • Demonstrate self-control
    • Earn and give respect to teachers, staff, and peers

Finally, we welcome your partnership in your child’s education and invite you to become involved in school activities, attend events and volunteer whenever possible. We welcome you to come by to eat lunch with your child and to come to Awards Day to help us celebrate your child. We cannot do this without you!
