When most people think of English classes, they think of classes where we discuss literature from the 1600s and write extended essays on the symbolism in The Scarlet Letter. Today, however, English classes offer so much more. As a part of our classes, students will closely and carefully read a variety of complex texts, evaluate a range of arguments (both formal and informal), as well as write for a variety of tasks, purposes, and audiences.
