My name is Anne Sheehan and I am an AIG teacher here at Olive Chapel Elementary. This will be my 15th year of teaching and my 4th year of AIG in WCPSS. I couldn't be more excited about my role at Olive Chapel. I come from a very big family. There are 6 kids and 2 of the most amazing parents in my family. My family is spread around the country, but we always make time to meet up for a half marathon or just fun city time in NYC and DC. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, running, and exploring the North Carolina Museum of Art. Two of my favorite ways to spend my time away from school is exploring the Eno River in Durham with my dog Jack and spending time with my 9 nephews and nieces. I am the luckiest aunt!
As the AIG teacher I have many goals for myself and my students. My most important goal is to provide our AIG students with the best support possible as they move through elementary school. I hope to foster and build independent, strong-willed, and unique lifelong learners. My ultimate career goal is to earn my doctorate in Gifted Education. You could definitely describe me as a lifelong learner!
