Ms. Amy Dragotta

I went to ECU and transferred to UNCP, and I graduated in 2008.  While finishing my degree at UNCP, I worked as a teacher assistant in a special needs classroom in Harnett County for 2 years.  I also have experience as an assistant in first and fifth grade, and I did my student teaching in kindergarten.  I taught a self contained preschool special ed classroom in Harnett County for five years.  I am returning to teaching after a three year break of staying home with my own children.  During that time, I worked for a private company part-time as a developmental therapist for children with special needs from birth through age 3.  I’ve been married for 13 years to my amazing hubby, Chris, and we have three kids: Cole, 11; Eli, 5; and Ella, 3.  Some of my hobbies are traveling, reading, painting, and serving the community with my family.  My husband and I have been to ten different countries, and spent some time doing a long term mission work assignment traveling all across Mexico and the Bahamas after we were married.  I am currently involved in serving at the women’s prison through a program called Kairos.  I look forward to this new adventure at Oakview!
