Good evening.  This is Greg Butler, Principal of North Garner Middle School, with some information for parents.

Last night at a Wake County School Board work session, calendars for the Garner area schools were discussed.  The discussion was about the single track 4 schools.  The proposal discussed is for the 2018-19 school year.  The proposal has Vance, Rand Road and North Garner converting to the traditional calendar in 2018-19.  Timber Drive Elementary School would convert to a multi track year round school.

More information can be found at http://wcpss.net/Page/29767 .  After gathering feedback, board members will discuss the matter again at a work session on March 7. Any final changes that may be made are tentatively scheduled for board approval on March 21.
