The ability to communicate with others is central to human nature. As boundaries between countries are being dissolved, the need for world language instruction has become a necessary component for linking with the rest of the world and for producing an enlightened citizenship able to function in today’s ever-shrinking world.

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica
The application is now open for La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (The Spanish Honor Society). Here is the link to the application. Applications are due by February 1st at 11:59pm. Requirements for membership include a 3.5 cumulative weighted GPA and an average of 90 or above in Spanish courses above Spanish II. Applicants will also need to ask two teachers (one Spanish teacher) to fill out a recommendation form. Any student who wishes to place out of Level I, II or III of a world language must take the test on this day.
